Día de los Muertos

One of my most favored days of the year! My studies in Spanish inspired a growing interest and reverence towards this holiday. Basically, it is believed that the souls of those who have died must never be forgotten. As long as we are remembering them, we are honoring their lives.

For the souls of the faithfully departed...

Aunt Louise Torreynson - I will never throw out those flower-power pants!
Aunt Vicki Katchmar - I miss seeing you hold the baby chicks!
Uncle John Katchmar - I miss your spaghetti!
Mama Grace - I remember your face.
Michelle Maguire - I remember your smile.
Camille Neil - I loved sharing slurpees with you in those final days!
Laura Hammer - I learned boondoggle from you!
Bob Redmond - You were so funny! You explained why NY = big apple!
Thad and Aaron - I can't forget meeting you two.
John Hornbuckle - I loved your hearty laugh!
"Mamaw" Bradshaw - Mamaw!!! :)
Jason - You wanted to vend kettle corn - I think of you when I eat it.
Grandma and Grandpa Sobun - M&Ms and Soap operas :)
Shannon Tinsley - You were so kind and open and friendly with anyone.
Robbie Tucker - Anywhoppers!
Joe Maloney - You babysat/porch-sat for us. I remember you in the train conductor's hat.
Joe Blalock - I remember teaching you.

...may they rest in peace.
