A full-time writing career is more like nomadic existence... I carry my home (editing and writing) with me as I travel and set-up camp where necessary (in each project). Although it may seem fleeting and unstable at times, I believe it serves its purpose more completely than any other.
My talents include editing, journalism, writing, research, web content development and page design, direct mail marketing, multimedia presentations, government and non-profit work, business proposals, teaching at college, high school, and elementary levels, curriculum development and theory, SVG, XML, graphics design, organizing and mainstreaming processes, QA, carpentry, miming, flower delivery, ESL, Spanish, and the list continues to grow. Where do I belong? What is the "perfect job" for me?
The flat-out answer is independent writer and editor. In this capacity, I may exercise my capabilities to the fullest potential. I fully intend to maintain my presence at Northern Virginia Community College as a remedial and first-year English instructor, and my dream is to one day assume a full-time position in an English department. Until that time, my talents and clients beckon.
