I found out just a few minutes ago that one of my dear students died this past week in a car accident. Death is not an easy thing, no matter what. I have been teaching for 4 years, and I have never experienced losing a student of mine until today. Joe was one of my seniors. We were really trying to work for him and with him to help him graduate. I can't really express what it feels like, but it's too new to me at the moment. I'm going to Mass at 12 today to offer Joe and his family up in prayer.
