Out of the three I've seen this summer: Pirates III and Superman III, this one didn't have plotholes, had more action that was strategic, versus "slice 'n dice" fighting, and not too many unanswered questions. I think the movie can successfully move on to a III, yet the audience wasn't left in the dark.
And, at an hour-and-a-half running time, really convenient.
